Decorations and inscriptions in the monastery of the Martyr Prince Tawadros Al-Mashreqi "The Warrior" in the city of Qurna

Abstract

The Eastern Monastery of Prince and Martyr Tawadros “Al-Muharib” in Qurna is one of the important monasteries in Luxor Governorate because of its religious and touristic role for Christians in general and for Orthodox in particular. This monastery contained a group of important antiquities, which contained a group of plant and geometric decorations and religious symbols, including the cross of various types. From this point of view, the study focused on publishing these artifacts, which were located in the monastery of the Prince and Martyr Tawadros Al-Mashreqi "Al-Muharib" in the city of Qurna on the western mainland of Luxor.
